If you want an arcade machine in your home that’s less bulky, more reliable, and more sleek and more modern-looking than the vintage variety, then the ‘Polycade’ might be for you! Designed by Tyler Bushnell, who is the son of ‘Atari’ founder Nolan Bushnell, this could be the future of retro arcade gaming. The project was raising funds on ‘Kickstarter’, but has already surpassed it’s goal amount, meaning it is due to be available to purchase from Spring 2016. Each Polycade will come pre-loaded with around 90 games, including ‘Pac-Man’, ‘Asteroids’, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ and ‘Sword of Vermillion’. However, it runs on open source emulation software, so you should be able to load additional games on their from all kinds of consoles, including ‘Atari 800’, ‘Game Boy Advance’ and ‘NES’. Check it out!
