In Laurent Kronental's stunning images of Paris's ageing housing estates, you get a sense of feeling that a, once strived-for, modernist utopia is slowly ebbing away. But, despite their retro, dated look, all the buildings you see below were once new, built with the optimistic forward thinking of past generations. For the last four years, Kronental has been shooting the buildings and residents of Paris's 'Grands Ensembles', i.e the city's big housing projects, built between the 1950's and the 1980's. His project is called 'Souvenir d'un Futur'! Take a look!
