Thanksgiving is probably most Americans' favorite holiday of the year. It's a day of giving thanks and blessing to the people we love and for the food from our harvest. But what makes this day so exciting? Food, glorious food of course! The traditional fare of roast turkey with cranberry sauce, potatoes, gravy and vegetables is a tasty treat shared with family and friends on this all-important holiday. In 2014, San Francisco-based artist Hannah Rothstein has used the concept of the Thanksgiving dinner to produce an unusual culinary-themed photo series. The pictures are of traditional Thanksgiving food, but plated according to how Rothstein has imagined various famous artists throughout history would plate them, such as Picasso and Andy Warhol. The limited edition prints (set of 25) are available at $75 per image, with 10% of profits donated to the SF-Marin Food Bank. Check out the unusual results of Rothstein's (certainly messy at times!) arty experiment.
