If you saw this wooden cube in the woods you could be forgiven for thinking that it is a modern art installation. However if you took a closer look you would see that this cedar structure is in fact a house!
The brainchild of architecture Sou Fujimoto created the entire cube. It is made from heavy cedar square logs which give form and stability to the dwelling. The wood also performs a specific and important function in terms of being stacked, to make the best possible use of limited space. There are beams available for sitting on, walking on and lying on, however the actual use for each part you can decide. Even the windows are designed to be as efficient as possible, providing maximum airflow.
