To clear out a pipe, mix equal parts of salt and soda then pour it down your plug hole. Next, pour some vinegar down the hole. Wait 15 minutes before pouring boiling water down the pipe.

To give your sink a lovely smell and glorious shine, rub some salt all around using a lemon!
Removing Couch Stains
If you’ve got a stubborn stain on your couch, mix 1/3 of a glass of vinegar with 1 table spoon of soda. Also add in 1 table spoon of powder detergent with some hot (but no boiling) water. Mix your solution together and apply it to the stain. Once dried, sprinkle some soda on top and let sit for a few hours, then vacuum the area.
Freshen Up Your Couch
It’s not hard for couches to end up with a smell. To add a new lease of life, add 10 drops of lemon or lavender oil into a spray bottle then mix with 1 table spoon of soda and 2 glasses of warm water. Shake and you’re ready to go!

Whiten Your Bath Tub
Bath tubs tend to get dirty over time. Even after cleaning they can still look dull. To bring back the brand new look to your tub, mix 2 table spoons of soda ash with 2 table spoons of baking soda. Rub this all over the wet tub. Let 10 minutes pass, then mix 2 oz. vinegar with 2 oz. bleach and apply to the tub. Leave for half an hour and then rinse the whole tub thoroughly.
Brighten Up Your Stove
Soak a cloth or mop in olive oil then wipe the entire outer surface of your oven. Once fully covered, wipe dry with a clean/dry cloth.
Polishing Your Iron
To polish your iron, put a sheet of parchment paper on top of a wooden cutting board. Cover it with plenty of salt. Turn on your iron and move it energetically over the salt for 1 minute.
Cleaning A Scorched Pan
To revive a scorched pan, add some water and a cup of vinegar to your pan and bring to the boil. When it starts to simmer, remove from the stove and add some soda. Pour out the water when the reaction stops. Let cool and wipe clean.
Removing Soap Stains
Wet wipes are great for removing soap stains. Simply wipe away all marks then use a clean/dry sponge on top to remove any smears. Rinse with water after.
Cleaning Greasy Sponges
You can choose to clean your sponges over replacing them. Pour 2 cups of hot water into a container and also add 2 table spoons of salt. Stir together, place in your sponge and leave to soak over night.

Wipe your chrome surfaces with waxed paper or a cooking sheet. This will keep them cleaner and shinier for longer.
