Disney's Magic Kingdom might call itself "the most magical place on Earth," but Harbin Ice and Snow Festival could sure give it a run for its money. The annual festival, which takes place in northeast China, commences on January 5th and lasts until the end of February. It's the biggest display of ice and snow sculptures in the world, so needless to say it attracts several million visitors from all over China and the rest of the world. Its huge ice palaces and other sculptures are impossible to do justice to in words, so you'll have to see for yourself!
These structures are breathtaking.
There are smaller ice sculptures which visitors can interact with.
And some excellent snow sculptures, too!
We really want a go on this ice slide!
At night, the whole place lights up and it looks AMAZING.
