Company Adopts 2 Kittens For The Office Named Debit And Credit To Help Boost Employee Morale

Work-related stress can negatively affect the work environment for employees. Since several studies claim that pets can reduce stress and promote productivity, bringing pets in the workplace seems to be a feasible idea. As a matter of fact, there are companies that allow employees to bring their pets in the workplace. Aside from maintaining a healthy work-life balance, pets can also boost office morale and reduce unnecessary stress. Obviously, having adorable pets adds a comic relief that can keep spirits high during office hours. For this reason, a transportation company in Ohio decided to adopt two kittens. And eventually hired them as staff of the finance department. Appropriately so, they named the two office kittens Debit and Credit.

And what do these two cute office kittens do in the office? Naturally, cats don’t need to do anything to amuse us. They only need to sit there and look cute, and that’s basically all we need to lighten up our mood. That’s what the company has in mind when they hired these two office kittens. Just watching them peeping over the monitor or hiding inside empty boxes is enough to drive all stress and tension away.

In order to share the cuteness, one of the employees posted a video of Debit and Credit on Reddit where they can be seen playing with a box lid. As expected, the video became a sure hit on the internet, with people asking for more videos and photos of the two office kittens. Due to overwhelming public demand, the employees decided to create an Instagram page for Debit and Credit. To give what their fans are craving for, the Instagram page @ourofficekittens was loaded with plenty of snapshots of the cat duo. Now, people can check what makes these viral kitties busy in the workplace. And their kitten shenanigans are absolute stress-relievers. The page currently has more than 26K followers and still counting.
