Bus artist Odeith has come to impress thousands of netizens with his graffiti object transformations. When the 43-year-old Sergio Odeith, a Portuguese graffiti artist, posted his latest artwork on Instagram, it immediately went viral. With only 7 hours since he published it, it already gained 80,000 likes! Today, it’s still counting.
Indeed, Odeith is excellent when it comes to 3D drawings. And yet, he has leveled up his game by using spray pay this time. Seeing a concrete block, he transformed it into an abandoned bus. Hence the name bus artist Odeith.
What’s terrific about his works are the intricate details. When you look at the finished projects for the first time, you would certainly believe you’re looking at a real bus.

Tickling curiosity, Odeith asked his Instagram followers what they think might be his next 3D painting.
The now-famous bus artist Odeith thought that his latest project had a funny backstory. Standing at the spot, along with friends, he had no inspiration for the concrete block.
“I didn’t even take the [spray paint] cans from my car.”
Odeith then went back home and napped well. At last, inspiration came!
“So the next day I did the painting, I just thought it was a perfect fit and completely different from all of my pieces.”
Apparently, there was only one fan who guessed right. The resulting bus graffiti took Odeith around 10 hours to complete, using approximately 30 spray cans.
“I have been drawing since I was a little kid, but I never expected to get this far. [My next project] will be in Switzerland and then in Australia.”
As for aspiring artists out there who would also like to create graffiti object transformations, Odeith says:
“Keep working hard, chase your dreams, and never give up.”
The grateful bus artist is indeed thankful for everyone’s support.

His fame began to rise after posting a photo of the giant concrete block on August 9. He asked:
“What do you think is going to be painted this time?”
Some thought it would be a giant snake while others guessed it would be a praying mantis. Apparently, they were basing their guesses on the artist’s previous works on crawlies. The good news is that one person was able to make the right guess. Odeith was happy at least one person thought right about his plan.
Like a legend in the community of artists, Odeith has 365,000 Instagram followers, around 258,000 Facebook fans, and more than 6,700 Twitter followers. Currently, he lives in Lisbon and is a full-time painter.
On his website, he says he has:
“created large scale murals for major national and international enterprises.”
So, he’s got big clients such as Kingsmill, Estradas de Portugal, the London Shell, the Coca-Cola Company, and Samsung. He has also crafted art for Sport Lisboa e Benfica, a football club. Other than that, Odeith has served:
“several Portuguese city halls such as Câmara Municipal de Lisboa and Câmara Municipal de Oeiras, amongst others.”
What a great portfolio!
There’s a belief that graffiti art began when people were drawing on cave walls. According to the British Council, this tradition went on with the Ancient Greek and Roman times. Back then, people would write poems, jokes, and even their names on the walls of buildings.
In fact, it was in the 1960s Philadelphia where modern graffiti first appeared. Then, it boomed in the 1970s.
Today, society still has debates on whether graffiti is acceptable art or just plain vandalism. But, our hearts are just warmed that Odeith is one of those brave and talented artists who would pursue their artistic passion no matter what.
