It seems like our friends from Japan have been getting all the finest treats that Starbucks has to offer. From a hassle-free way to pay for their orders to limited-edition seasonal drinks. And when we say seasonal drinks, we refer to drinks that are available straight off the menu. You know, not the “secret menu” that seems a mystery even to baristas themselves. Starbucks Japan’s Dark Night Frappuccino along with other Halloween Masquerade-themed drinks would surely make you wish you’re on the other side of the world right now.
Earlier this month, Starbucks Japan revealed its limited-edition fall beverages with a Halloween Masquerade Party theme. First in the line was the Halloween Red Night Frappuccino. This bloody red concoction consists of a blend of white chocolate brownie, cranberry, raspberry, and strawberry. This sweet-sour symphony is then topped with whipped cream, dark cocoa powder, and drizzled with more berry sauce on top.
There’s also the Halloween Masquerade Raspberry Mocha which is basically a white mocha drink with a grisly twist. It comes with the same bloody triple-berry delight and a good shot of espresso.
The third drink in the series was kept a secret until just recently. Instagrammer @candyhunting made sure the news reached the western shores. The post revealed the third drink to complete the line which was the Halloween Dark Night Frappuccino. In contrast to the Red Night Frappuccino, this drink comes with “dark cocoa, brownies with white chocolate chips, and a red berry sauce made from raspberry, cranberry, and strawberry.” Hence, it gives off a vampy red color as opposed to Red Night Frappuccino’s bloody red color.

All these drinks will be available until the end of the month. This only means that these bloody and vampy concoctions won’t be here for too long. So, by all means, book a flight to Japan if you must. However, not everyone might be willing to go the extra mile, literally and figuratively. Nonetheless, there’s always the trusty secret menu for you. You may simply opt to get yourself a Jack Skellington Frappuccino or a Cinderella Latte to appease your heavy heart.
