It’s always so touching to see companies engaging in corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. It only goes to show that they’re not just in the business to gain profit but to serve a good cause as well. This time, the efforts of a North Dakota-based beer company have touched the hearts of many. Fargo Brewing Company has partnered with a local shelter to help a few dogs find their forever homes. And they did it through featuring their cute photos on their beer cans. How witty and adorable, right?
Recently, the company hosted an event together with the non-profit organization 4 Luv of Dog Rescue. This is to introduce Fargo’s new packaging for its Original Lager dedicated to the six “one-der” dogs of the shelter. By “one-der,” this means that these dogs somehow can’t manage to socialize well with other dogs.
Fargo Brewing Company has released special-edition beer cans that feature six “one-der” dogs from 4 Luv of Dog Rescue.
Moby, an 11.5-year-old male Pomeranian-chow mix
Nyx, an eight-year-old female Jack Russell terrier
As such, they experience a much harder time finding a permanent home than other pooches. Plus, we all know that a lot of families have at least one pet at home these days. That said, it just might take a while before our furry friends find their new hoomans. In an Instagram post, Fargo Brewing Company wrote:
“It’s our hope that through this event we can raise a little awareness about these “one”derful pooches and hopefully find them homes of their own!”
Virginia, a six-year-old female pit bull terrier mix
Bizzy, a three-year-old female boxer mix
The whole creative idea came from Jerad Ryan, a volunteer at the shelter. He also happens to work for Northern Plain Labels, a company that produces beer labels. So, he discussed to his boss his idea of providing a brewery with can labels that feature these hard-to-adopt dogs. Certainly, his boss loved the idea.
“I asked Fargo Brewing if they would be willing to do this for us and they loved it too. They have gone above and beyond with donating profits and having an event where the public can come and meet our One-der dogs, as they don’t get to attend events with the other dogs. The response from the community has already been amazing and heartwarming.”
Jensen, a two-and-a-half-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier
Hobie, a two-and-a-half-year-old male pit bull terrier mix
Indeed, this is what “drink responsibly” truly means. This special-edition booze-for-a-cause will be available at Fargo’s brewery until supplies last. Hopefully, our furry friends would find their new homes soon in time for the holiday season. For more information on these adorable doggos, just visit 4 Luv of Dog Rescue website here.
