Born to be wild, foxes are difficult to tame and have not been domesticated. So, these wild animals don’t make good pets. Hoever, we can’t deny the cuteness of baby foxes. Due to their feral nature, foxes typically stay away from humans which means it’s rare to see them in places where people live. A Reddit user was lucky enough to capture an unusual sight – a cute cub showing up at the porch and peering inside the window. Reddit user Vechrotex immediately shared the photo of the adorable fox on social media.
“A Baby Fox Showed Up To Say Hi At My Grandmother’s House”
“Here in Illinois we get red foxes in forested areas, we see them a lot and it’s not that big of a deal,” Vechrotex said. “One day my grandma saw a baby red fox and took a picture of it. She shared the picture with me and I thought it was just so cute, I decided to post it. I’m glad I was able to make so many people happy!”
People immediately fell in love with the charming cub. With its endearing and friendly facial expression, it’s almost impossible to believe that this pup belongs in the wild. Some even compared the adorable kit to a corgi pup. Due to its irresistible cuteness, people started bringing up the possibility of owning foxes as pets. However, some commenters brushed off this wishful thinking as they try to elaborate that foxes are inherently aggressive and are not suitable in captivity. Furthermore, taking babies away from their mothers is an inhumane act that may lead to their untimely demise.
Was The Baby Fox Alone?
Speaking of its mother, people were wondering whether the cub is alone or lost, which explains why it dared to go near a human residence. Vechrotex explains that the kit actually has a mother and that she comes to the porch more often than the cub. It’s got to be a friendly gene running within the family, right? But the visit of the friendly baby didn’t stop there. In fact, it got a little more interesting when the little pup brought along a friend on its next visit. On the photo, you can see two foxes playing and running around the porch. So, there are two adorable pups chasing each other and there is an extreme cuteness overload.
Vechrotex later posted some updates about the foxes. We can see one of the cubs catching the tail of the other on the next photo. The latest update shows the first fox paying another visit alone.
