These Artists Are Making Miniature Paper Birds Every Day For A Year

It’s amazing to see the wonderful things that you can create with just a piece of paper. While most artists stick to using paper as a canvas, some choose to use it as a medium by itself. So, we’ve seen various talented artists turn ordinary sheets of paper into stunning sculptures and even miniature plants. This time, prepare to revel in the beauty of this creative duo’s miniature paper birds that look so realistic.

Hailing from India, Nayan and Vaishali take delight in crafting small-scale birds. Their creations are based on common feathered creatures like doves, owl and parrots to exotic ones like toucans. And, each piece features multiple layers of painted paper, which are used to form a replica of the feathery animal.

Talented artists Nayan and Vaishali create realistic miniature birds out of hand-cut paper. So, lets take a look at some of their amazing creations. Firstly, we have this white release dove and these birds are often seen during milestones of our lives.

This colorful Blue and Gold Macaw has striking blue wings. It is a stunning tropical bird.

Next, we have this tropical Toucan with a colorful bill.

And, this Cedar Waxwing looks so realistic because of the colors and wings.

So, Nayan is in charge of the papercutting and artwork photography. Meanwhile, Vaishali is the one who adds life to their creations by painting them with watercolor. In addition, she’s responsible for the photo conceptualization and composition. Not only that but she is hand model in their posts to. Furthermore, each piece normally takes around four to six hours to finish and is made to look just like the real thing.

Each paper bird is photographed perching on a tree branch or standing on the ground, just like in real life. Next, we have a stunning peacock and the feathers look amazing.

The wings are so intricate and stunning on this one.

So, this Hummingbird is beautiful and it looks so pretty flying next to a flower.

Next, we have a Brown Pelican

This Ostrich is a flightless bird so the artists made it look like it is running.

So, in 2018, the artistic pair took their craft to the next level by launching their 365 Days of Miniature project. The goal of this self-imposed creative challenge was to produce one mini bird per day for the entire year. Of course, the two successfully accomplished the challenge and decided to carry on with it challenge until the following year. And, the two shared their remarkable experience working on the project.

In some cases, these birds are held up high, flaunting their intricately painted majestic wings

This majestic Bald Eagle looks like it is soaring in the sky.

Cock-a-doodle-doo, here we have a Rooster and it looks straight off a farm.

Furthermore, we have this small Drongo.

So, in 2019, they started using other animals as inspiration for their miniature creatures. In addition to bird, they also make zebras, geckos, buffalos, turtles and deer, to name a few. Again, the duo has emerged victorious in their attempt, ending the series with an arctic tern as their 730^th piece.

This Flamingo is amazing and it looks so realistic stand on one leg.

Next, we have A Blue Jay and it’s blue wings look so beautiful.

Here, we have stunning Greater Bird Of Paradise. The wings are so striking and intricate.

Furthermore, they also create more than one bird. Such as, these Spot-Billed Ducks

This Woolly Necked Stork is one of our favorites because it looks so unique.

This next image features a singing Nightingale sitting on a branch.

This bird is so funny and cute. We love the feathers and colors.

We love the color of this American Goldfinch.

And this bird looks like it is flying and it is as tiny as a grain.

For day 94 the artists created this little bird and it is called a Snow Goose

This Roseate Spoonbill has beautiful, bright pink wings.

Next, we have a Baby Killdeer. It’s tiny size makes it look adorable!

So, this little chick is super cute. This would be a great Easter decoration.

Finally, we have a Baby Ostrich and this one of our favorites because it so tiny and cute.

Furthermore, by the start of 2020, the talented pair have taken on a new challenge. From 730 creations, they’re looking to add 270 more to make it 1,000 in total.
