Indeed, working from home is a privilege that not everyone can enjoy. However, it can be quite challenging too, especially when you have to share your workspace with your partner. Cara Fields, Marketing Chief of Staff at Elanco, an Indiana-based animal health company, took to LinkedIn to expose her husband’s recent playful prank on her. That is, randomly appearing in the background as she takes on work-related Zoom conference calls. And what’s even more hilarious is that he does so while sporting some silly costumes.
In a LinkedIn post, Fields detailed her husband’s “new quarantine hobby”. She also included some photos which showed her husband donning a ghillie suit, a cowboy getup, a Where’s Waldo? costume and even a Batman suit. Her post went viral immediately, garnering over 6,000 reactions and over 300 comments to date. Well, this goes to show that her post has resonated with tons of other professionals in the said platform.

Apparently, her husband has found a new hobby of intruding on her Zoom conference calls…
…while sporting ridiculous getups
On the bright side, Fields’ husband was very much successful in his efforts to lighten up the mood in his wife’s virtual meetings.
“My colleagues love this. It’s so strange to see a team of people laughing while you’re presenting, and then realizing something ridiculous is going on behind you. They almost always see him before I do.”
Well, it turns out that her husband has a mischievous habit of trolling her, especially in public.
“He has always loved wearing ridiculous things in public to embarrass me. So when I converted our dining room into an office where my camera faced the dining room table, he saw a virtual opportunity to embarrass me during the pandemic.”
Fields also revealed how her husband’s cosplay game has quickly escalated. From wearing things that he already owned, he now has a bunch of Halloween costumes courtesy of a few friends. In fact, Fields has also recently found out that there are still more costumes coming their way! Indeed, simple acts like this can truly go a long way in lifting people’s spirits.
“It has definitely helped people remember to stop and laugh during these times.”
