If you can’t find it, make it. That’s what this couple from Wigan, Greater Manchester did when they decided to build their own mini pub in their garden. The pandemic lockdown has deprived us of some of the things we love. Public places, restaurants, pubs, amusement centers and recreational facilities were forced to close down temporarily while citizens were required to stay at home. During, these past few months in self-isolation, everyone has to find other sources of entertainment to keep themselves occupied. When the Crabtree family could no longer wait for their favorite pubs to reopen, they decided to build their own instead.
Amy, the mind behind Octavia Chic, and her husband built a pub for a client that took just over 3 weeks to complete. The couple worked on the project dubbed “The Drunken Crab”. From day 1 of construction up to the finished product, Amy documented the entire process on her Facebook page. As if the exterior wasn’t impressive enough, Amy showed the amazing interior that made people on the internet lost their minds.
A Couple Builds Their Own Mini Pub, And People On The Internet Are Jealous
The interior comes complete with everything a pub should have. Stocks of exquisite wines, table sets, a bar area, a fireplace, Scampi Fries, stools, old tins and glass jars. Stepping inside Crabtree family’s miniature pub truly gives you the feeling that you’re actually inside a real pub. One look at this brilliant project and you’ll also wish to have your own personal pub.
Amy’s post about their DIY pub quickly became viral. As of this writing, more than 26k people have liked the post and over 34k shared the photos. Amy has been overwhelmed with inquiries asking if they can use their building services.
“We are based in Wigan and as this took 3 – 4 weeks to complete, we can only consider doing garden pubs in the Northwest. Also we would need to come and have a consultation before pricing.”, Amy said in a post.
