There is no such thing as a snack treat that’s for kids only. After we were all kids once! In fact, we’re sure that you’ve got a stash of your favorite childhood snacks like Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats hidden away at home and at work in case of ‘emergency’. If you count this Kellogg’s classic as one of your favorites, then you probably know that they’ve had a Caramel Chocolatey Chunk flavor for quite some time now. But if this is the first time you’re learning about this offering, you’re welcome.
The Caramel Chocolatey Chunk flavor is basically the upgraded version of the classic treats that consist of puffed rice cereal and gooey marshmallows. This version features chunks of chocolate mixed with the unmistakable sweetness of caramel. The treats are then drizzled with more chocolate so you can expect every bite to have a combination of gooey marshmallow, chocolate and caramel! A classic flavor combination on a classic treat!

This version of our beloved Rice Krispies Treats has chocolatey chunks and caramel
It appears that the indulgent treats have been out since 2013. The box has had plenty of design changes, but the snack itself hasn’t changed. And it’s finally getting the attention it’s always deserved this year. Plenty of Instagram snack sleuths like @junkfoodinthetrunk3, @junkfoodmom and @snackgator have shared pictures of the treat on their accounts.

Before, the Caramel Chocolatey Chunk Treats only came in individual packets. So seeing it in a big, 16-count box was definitely new for @junkfoodmom. Each box contains 16 individually wrapped treats, so you can happily indulge your sweet tooth. There’s no limited edition labelling on this offering. So there’s a big chance of this being a permanent treat. Walmart has listed these as a new offering for under $4. Aside from Walmart, you can grab a box of these chocolatey goodies at ShopRite, FoodLion, and other major retailers. Who can refuse biting into this crispy, gooey goodie?!
