We don’t mind getting pranked everyday if it involves Star Wars Art. Australian digital artist Scadam Photoshops images of historical paintings by reimagining the models as pop culture characters. Faces of popular characters from Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Boys, MCU, and DC Films Photoshopped into old paintings. Scadam cleverly merges historical art and modern pop culture into one frame. And the result is amazingly hilarious.
Scadam edits historical paintings for fun but he also works on commissions. He has created over a thousand prints that are both funny and impressively good. One day, he decided to prank his wife by secretly replacing some framed photos in their home with pics that he edited. His Star Wars Art prank started with an image of Mace Windu, played by Samuel L. Jackson, wearing a fancy gown and posh bonnet while holding a lightsaber hilt.
Digital Artist Secretly Replaced Photos In Their Bookshelf With Star Wars Art To Prank His Wife
Scadam was certain that his wife would notice the Mace Windu pic. But she didn’t. So he added another Star Wars mashup art featuring young Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Ewan McGregor, wearing an elegant dress with an exquisite set of pearl necklace and bracelets. For four days, he let the edited pics sit on the bookshelf, waiting to be noticed. Unfortunately, his wife still failed to notice the switches.
The artist went on to add more Star Wars mashup art to the bookshelf. This time, it’s not just one, but two works of art. One features General Grievous in a gleaming gown complete with four sleeves for his extra set of arms. And the other one is Sheev Palpatine, played by Ian McDiarmid, donning a sophisticated gown while flaunting his long, silky hair. Despite the switches, Scadam’s wife still didn’t notice the hilarious paintings in the frames.
“I don’t know how far I’ll push this,” Scadam said, “as I only have two more Star Wars in skirts pictures and I’m running out of shelf space.”
His effort didn’t go to waste because his wife finally saw the switches after eight days. The prank turned out successful in the end despite taking it so long to be seen. Scadam was also proud to say that his wife decided to leave the Star Wars Art in the frames. So, we guess she really loved the epic film franchise as much as he does.
