It might sometimes seem like technology and art have no business together, but sometimes when they meet wonderful things happen. Artist Gabriel Schama is a great example of this. He used to work mostly in the medium of paper cutting, but wanted to move into wood and acrylic. The problem is that the designs he had in mind were far too precise and complex to pull off by hand. So, he got a laser cutter, and now what he has to do is draw out the designs, feed them into the laser cutter's program and then the machine does all the manual labor for him. The resulting sculptures are ridiculously beautiful, and wouldn't have been possible without the help of technology.
