From May 7th, as part of their SOS (Stressed Out Students) campaign, The University of Lancashire will have a puppy room available to students to relax in between classes. For a £1 donation, the puppies who are being trained as guide-dogs will have a chance to interact with and to get used to people while the students just relax and enjoy petting them. Inspired by a Japanese study which can be found here, students can perform as much as 44% better on tests after spending time with cute (kawaii in Japanese) puppies or kittens. What an awesome idea for everyone involved!
