Candace Karch Takes Fun And Inventive Photos Of 97-Year-Old Ms. Ulmer

Photographer Candace Karch loves the self portraits of 97-year-old artist Ms. Ulmer. An illustrator at 'The Philadelphia Free Library' for more than 35 years, Ms. Ulmer helped create its art department. Ms. Ulmer taught herself how to draw by constantly looking in the mirror and copying what she saw, which in turn resulted in a huge collection of self portraits spanning many decades. Karch became fascinated by this and began a book project in conjunction with Ms. Ulmer which will contain photographic images as well as the 97-year-olds's self portraits. Take a look!
