If the idea of a bottomless library fulfills all your book nerd dreams, then you need to take a look at this excellent art installation. Conceived and created by Swedish artist Susanna Hesselberg, this piece is installed by the coast in Denmark as part of Aarhus' annual 'Sculpture by the Sea' contest and exhibition. This sculpture is built down into the ground, so that when you stand and look into its depths, it looks as though there's a library going all the way down into the center of the Earth and beyond. But, before you get too gleeful about the idea of an infinite library, you should know that it has a rather somber meaning behind it. The installation is called "When My Father Died It Was Like a Whole Library Had Burned Down" and Hesselberg created it to deal with her thoughts and feelings surrounding the loss of her father. The piece is rather beautiful, so let's take a look.
