Awesome PIctures Of Amazingly Starry Skies

Thanks to pollution, when the majority of us look up to the sky at night, we are lucky if we see just a few stars. However, there are some places in the world, known as 'Starlight Destinations', that have very low light pollution. This means their skies are clear enough to show a galaxy full of shining stars. Alqueva Reserve, in Portugal, was the first site in the world to be certified by the 'Starlight Foundation' as a 'Starlight Destination'. It was there that 21 year old Portuguese photographer Joao P. Santos took the amazing shots you see below. Check out his awesome pictures of amazingly starry skies!
