In a country going through such tough times, it's heartwarming to know that kind Greeks are still going out of their way to look after sick and injured animals. Like the personnel and volunteers at ANIMA. On any given day, ANIMA, (which when spelled out properly, translates to Association for the Protection and Welfare of Wildlife) has hundreds of sick and injured wild animals to look after. From cute baby owls, to tiny little bats, to hedgehogs and large birds of prey, the people at ANIMA are dedicated to rehabilitating animals of all shapes and sizes, so that they can go on to have a real chance at life back in the wild.
