When thinking of beautiful architecture it is rare for an individual to equate this with a spider's nest. Bizarrely this incredible structure below was based on the nest of a water spider! You see that particular spider builds water bubbles to survive and this amazing installation is shaped just like one of those! The pavilion was made using carbon fiber and an industrial robot to create the robust structure. This is just one in a series of amazing pavilions being created by the 'Institute for Computational Design' and the 'Institute of Building Structures and Structural Design' at the University of Stuttgart. Take a look!
