According to statistics from 'Disney', 70 percent of all people who bought pre-sale tickets for the new 'Star Wars' movie are male. So, what if studio executives reimagined the movie to try to make it appeal more to women? As part of the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' show, the trailer for 'The Force Awakens' was given a tweak and a new voice over to make it look as though it were a romantic comedy. Of course, we know that in reality, there are plenty of women who love all things Star Wars and scientific fiction, and probably wouldn't watch a stereotypical 'chick flick', but this is more of a spoof of the whole rom-com genre and the way that women are often marketed to. It has given us a good chuckle, but we'll stick to the original! Take a look!
