There's a disused stretch of freeway in Seoul, South Korea. It was built in the 1970s, but failed safety inspections in 2006 and has been abandoned since then, just waiting to be torn down. However, design company MVRDV now have other plans for it. Instead of being demolished, it will be turned into a sky garden walkway. Not only will the 9,600-square-foot stretch be home to more than 250 different species of trees, shrubs and flowers, it will also help out locals by cutting a 25-minute walk to a nearby train station down to just 11 minutes. Check out these artists interpretations of what the walkway will look like.
