Japan‘s love affair with KFC is legendary. It seems, they simply can’t get enough of the American fast food restaurant’s finger licking goodness! Their amazing love for the brand has definitely earned them some special treats from the Colonel over the years. And this year, an All-You-Can-Eat KFC has opened in Tokyo to give its patrons all that their hearts and tummies desire!
KFC’s been treating its Japanese customers to seasonal All-You-Can-Eat options for years
Actually, the ‘all-you-can-eat’ dining concept isn’t new for Japanese customers of the chain. The restaurant has often rolled out seasonal all-you-can-eat offers in select stores in Japan over the years. However, the offer was only limited to fried chicken and would only be available for an exclusive duration. Luckily, customers no longer have to keep a vigilant lookout on KFC Japan’s announcements to enjoy all the delicious food they want from the chain. Instead, they’re being treated to an all new restaurant.
Treat yourself to exclusive, original food items at the new All-You-Can-Eat KFC
This first-of-its-kind KFC restaurant officially opened on November 13 at Minami Machida Grandberry Park. And it’s not just their signature fried chicken that’s on offer. According to reports, the new KFC offers 50 different food items daily! Customers can look forward to feasting not only on fried chicken but on different biscuits, pasta dishes, fries, curries, soups, salads, and desserts as well.
A special fried chicken soup curry is among the restaurant’s exclusive offerings. You can enjoy the soup curry as a side or as a dip for your fried chicken. Additionally, customers can also take a break from fried chicken and try the restaurant’s rotisserie chicken and a pan-baked potato casserole. We drooled a little, to be honest.
Lunch and dinner all-you-can-eat KFC is available for 80-minute periods with a free all-you-can-drink soft drink menu. But, if you’re in the mood to pair your chicken buffet with booze, KFC also offers an all-you-can-drink alcohol option for an extra 1,250 yen.
It’s surprisingly affordable
You and your family, friends, and workmates can enjoy lunch from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM for only 1,980 yen ($18.14) for adults (junior high school students and above). On the other hand, elementary school students can dine here for only 980 yen during lunch hours.
After 5:00 PM, all-you-can-eat KFC will be serving their dinner menu until 10:00 PM. The rate is considerably heftier for adults at 2,580 and 1280 yen for children. It is important to note that lunch and dinner are available to customers younger than elementary school age for 480 yen. Meanwhile, children under 3-years old can dine for free.
The new All-You-Can-Eat KFC restaurant has a more family restaurant appeal
In comparison to the standard KFC store setup, this all-you-can-eat KFC has adopted a “KFC home party” aesthetic. You won’t be seeing linoleum-covered tables or typical plastic chairs here. Instead, you will find that this special KFC features more family style decor. For example, the dining booths have upholstered cushion seats instead of the typical plastic or leatherette fare. Furthermore, it also features a kid’s school corner, where elementary school students can learn about cooking and kitchen safety.
