Dogs and cats are undoubtedly among the luckiest animals in the world. For one, most of them are house pets. As such, they have humans who take good care of them and fulfill all their needs. In addition to that, they also have their own supply stores, grooming salons, and even cafes. Lucky for them, but what about the animals who wander the streets? Take, for instance, little mice. Well, in Sweden, there are tiny mice shops to serve our rodent companions.
Thanks to Swedish artists collective AnonyMouse, our minute mice friends now have a place to be—other than the streets. These artists have put up a chain of stores in Malmö that specifically caters to the rodent clientele. With an approximate measurement of 25″ x 12″, these shops make the perfect hangout spots for our pals. So, what do they find inside each shop? Amazing treats in the form of cheese and nuts, of course.
At Il Topolino (Mickey Mouse’s Italian name), our friends can enjoy fine cheese and crackers. The restaurant features a classic red and white awning outside and checkered tablecloths inside. Meanwhile, if they’re up for a nutty treat, they can head over to Noix De Vie (Nuts of Life). The shop displays a wide variety of nuts in the window.
But the amusement doesn’t end there. The attention to detail of these artists is just exceptional. Upon a closer look, one can see puny posters promoting upcoming concerts and exhibits. For instance, “Night of the Were-Rat” and “Maus: The Exhibition.” These artists also signed their street art installations with their official AnonyMouse logo which features a Guy Fawkes mask with a Mickey Mouse twist.
Soon, many more attractions followed. These include a barbershop, jazz club, travel agency, a hotel, and a detective agency among many others. So, if you happen to visit Sweden, do drop by these tiny mice shops to see them in full operation. Just make sure you don’t bring your feline friends with you!
