Kevin Bates originally created the 'Arduboy' with the idea of showcasing his skills in electronics to potential employers. When he showed off the prototype via YouTube a year ago the reaction was so amazing that Kevin quit his job entirely and spent 12 months in China refining the design! The Arduboy is rechargeable and will work for around 8 solid hours of gameplay. Although it won't be good for playing games with intensive graphics, it's perfect for old-school 8-bit games. It's also completely open source which means a world of gaming possibilities, including learning code as tutorials are included. Kevin's Kickstarter campaign raised it's goal within just 2 hours and you can now follow his progress below. Check it out!
