A young French artist, who goes by the names ‘Blase’ and ‘Blasepheme’, restores old and unloved paintings in a unique and funny way. To show that contemporary art doesn’t always have to be serious, Blase takes old paintings, which he finds at flea markets and other such places, and uses academic techniques to restore them, whilst also adding a twist of his own. His skill at recreating the original style of the painting is incredible and, if the additions didn’t look so out of place, you’d never guess they were painted in at a later date. Take a look!
