This UK-based design studio takes pride in combining art and function while playing with concepts of geometry, gravity and illusion. And among its finest creations is the unique UP Balloon Table. It features a trompe l’oeil or a visual illusion that showcases a bundle of balloons lifting a glass tabletop. As written on their website, “this piece captures the imagination and celebrates nostalgic creativity.”

Metal resin composite, toughened glass and toughened steel rods make up the structure of the table. It features faux balloons and strings that make up its sturdy base. To make the illusion even more believable, some balloons come with shorter strings that don’t even touch the ground. Moreover, there are also some that just “float” with no strings attached to them at all.
The table comes in different styles with several editions
These include a dining table, a coffee table and a side table. The dining table and the coffee table come with either a round glass top or a rectangular glass top. As for the side table, it only comes with a round glass top.

In addition, you also have the option to change the color of the balloons. You may choose between gold, silver, copper or a combination of gold and silver. On top of that, there’s also a special black edition of the coffee table variant.
