Ready-to-eat cookie dough has changed the way we enjoy our favorite cookies. Pillsbury, Betty Crocker, Nestlé Toll House and other cookie brands are all diving into the trend. Although the competition is tight, Nestlé Toll House might be able to take the lead with its Bite-Sized Edible Cookie Dough.
It’s also important to point out that Nestlé Toll House was one of the first cookie brands to introduce raw cookie dough that is safe to eat. Back in June 2019, the brand introduced its line of edible cookie dough in two flavors: Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. Both flavors come in 15-oz pint containers and are advertised to be eaten like a tub of ice cream. Early this year, the brand added two new flavors to the line: the Fudge Brownie Batter and the Funfetti Cookie Dough. And now, the brand announced another exciting addition: the new Bite-Size Dough.

What makes this cookie dough different from the first varieties is that this one comes in a resealable bag instead of a tub. These bites are chocolate chip cookie dough dipped in a chocolatey shell. So, there’s no spoon necessary. Just pop these bites in your mouth and let the flavor of the chewy dough burst from its chocolate shell. That’s a total game changer.

The new Bite-Sized Cookie Dough will hit Sam’s Club in October 2020. If you’re a member then you’re in luck. But don’t fret if you’re a non-member because the brand confirmed that this new offering will roll out to other retailers next year. These goodies come in a 20-oz reclosable share pack. We’re not so sure about the ‘share’ part because we’re pretty sure we can finish the entire pack by ourselves in one sitting. And we’ve got a feeling that more flavors are on their way. Birthday Cake, perhaps?
