Spending time in the outdoors with your loved ones is a fun and beneficial activity. But in order to camp, you first have to pitch your tent – which can be frustrating with all the poles, pegs, ropes, and sheets that you’ll need for set up. This revolutionary Camping Doughnut Tent is designed to save you from the tedious process of setting up a tent while providing you a cozy space to enjoy your time in the outdoors.
Designed by a team of creative designers – Sungha Lim, Hyunmook Lim, and Han Kim – the innovative camping Doughnut Tent is modular and easily collapsible. So, anyone can effortlessly and quickly set this whole thing up. Furthermore, it offers flexible configuration to allow campers to create their own comfortable space however they want. This cylindrical shelter comes in two basic shapes – the I-shape and the C-shape. Both versions consist of 3 rooms (2 bedrooms and 1 living room) with 3 entrances located on both ends and on the middle segment.

The I-shaped type features a simple tubular shelter in straight form. Its modular design allows you to connect multiple segments through the opening on both ends. So you can extend the length of the straight shelter to accommodate more occupants. The C-shaped type, on the other hand, features a curved design that can block the wind from three directions, allowing for a new outdoor space for your campfire and cooking.
When it comes to configurations, the C-shaped type has more to offer. You can connect two of these camping tents in opposite directions to form an S-shaped shelter. This configuration creates two new spaces. Depending on the direction of the wind, the protected area can make an ideal spot for campfire while the exposed area can make a relaxing rest area. Another configuration option for the C-shaped type is the O-shape which the designers fondly call the Doughnut Tent.
To assemble the doughnut tent, connect two C-shaped types on both ends to create an inner space. This design blocks the wind from every direction, keeping the inner space protected to make a cozy recreational area. And when camping time is over, simply collapse the tent into its compact size and store it into the carrying case. This awesome outdoor shelter is only a concept as of the moment. But it’s just a matter of time before it finally hits the market. And when that happens, we can kiss goodbye to the laborious process of pitching a tent for a more enjoyable camping experience.
