Classic cars are such beautiful pieces of machinery so it is very sad to see them fall into a state of disrepair. These images of a car cemetery in Grodzisk Mazowiecki in Poland are somehow hauntingly sad. These once majestic vehicles are almost unrecognizable in their current state and it's fair to say that they will never drive again.
Photographed by Lukasz Zagraba, this car collection was once the largest and most expensive in the country. It belonged to Tadeusz Trabenkiego, an official from the Ministry of Transport who was charged with recovering places occupied by the Third Reich. Today all that remains of the collection (which includes Alfa Romeo and Jaguar models) is dilapidated, rusty and beyond repair. Abandoned for more than 30 years, the earth is beginning to reclaim it.
