Lamps may be small decorative items, but they can certainly enhance your space in a big way. For one, they’re effective in setting the mood of your room. At the same time, lamps with fun and quirky designs are undeniably a great statement piece. Take, for instance, this Pennywise balloon lamp that evokes major creepy vibes. Or this Super Mario piranha plant lamp for a playful touch. But if you’re looking for something with a whimsical appearance, then these epoxy wooden lamps might just pique your interest.
Designed and created by Etsy shop HungarianWood, these unique decorative light fixtures are all handmade from scratch. They feature an actual piece of a broken wood block that’s put back together using epoxy resin. This gives the lamp a transparent center, allowing you to see the jagged edges of each broken wood piece. From afar, this also creates an illusion that the top piece is floating on air, giving your room a magical touch.

The lamps are typically made from oakwood. However, the shop can also fabricate ones using other wood types including acacia, ash, beech, mahogany and walnut. The lamp comes with a type C power cord, so you can simply plug it into an electrical outlet for permanent power. You may also specify the outlet type in your country, so they can include an adapter with your order.
Each lamp measures approximately 40 cm tall, 7 cm wide, and 7 cm deep. However, due to the lamps’ handcrafted nature, keep in mind that no two lamps will be exactly the same. Although these enchanting lamps may not be able to light up an entire room, they can at least serve as mood lights. These functional decorative pieces would surely complement all corners of your home. Be it in your living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and even your backyard.
