Post Consumer Brands has kicked off the New Year with the sweet announcement of their collaboration with Duncan Hines. In case you haven’t heard, 2021 marks the 50th birthday of Fruity Pebbles. Well, we all know that no birthday celebration is ever complete without a cake. That’s why the two brands have teamed up to bring us a Fruity Pebbles Cake Kit! This year is indeed looking bright, at least in the desserts department.
The upcoming treat comes in a 28.5-ounce box that includes a confetti cake mix, a cereal-flavored frosting and cereal bits. It’s essentially everything you’ll need to transform the breakfast staple into a dessert. We don’t know about you, but this definitely gives us the perfect excuse to have cake for breakfast! Besides, we could all use a sweet pick-me-up to pump up our mornings, don’t you think so?

Apparently, the upcoming treat is part of Duncan Hines’ new line of EPIC Baking Kits. According to the brand, this new product line consists of “fun, colorful, and totally over-the-top baking kits inspired by the latest bakery trends.” And as it turns out, the brand is treating us to four more variants in addition to the cereal cake kit.
There’s the Salted Caramel Brownie Kit, S’mores Brownie Kit, Cookies & Cream Cookie Kit and Cookie Dough Cookie Kit. All these five variants are reportedly hitting the shelves in early March, with a suggested retail price of $5.49 each.
“People are discovering the joy of baking like never before. Duncan Hines is excited to provide a fun new platform of offerings inspired by the amazing, sweet treats we see on social media and in our favorite bakeries. Our new EPIC Baking Kits are over-the-top delicious, social media worthy and fun to make with just 4 easy steps!”— Erin Tamm, Duncan Hines Senior Brand Manager
Be sure to keep an eye out for these kits in your local grocery store’s baking aisle come March. In the meantime, you can get your dose of Fruity Pebbles with a twist with these candy bars from Frankford.
