It’s great to have one’s picture taken. It’s a great way to commemorate moments in our lives. But sometimes (well, most of the time…if you’re not really photogenic like me) photos don’t always turn out the way we want them to. Fortunately, we’ve got photo editing apps and software to fix those minor hiccups. And James Fridman, the internet’s most popular Photoshop troll, has definitely made hundreds of hilarious tweaks that had us chuckling and snickering. He’s made a fresh new batch for the rest of the world to enjoy, so naturally we’ve compiled them for you to enjoy in one sitting!
The troll or wizard, whichever you take him to be, has been posting hilariously altered images for years. And to his credit, he does deliver what is asked of him. But instead of smoothly retouched photos, Fridman instead delivers a rather sarcastic editing job. This British graphic designer’s definitely taken the quote “Be careful what you wish for” to heart!
“Hang in there.”
“Luxury dining with a view.”
“As you wish.”
“Sorted.”
“Sure.”
People are turning to this Photoshop troll to edit their pictures
In this day and age where social media and photographs rule supreme, we all strive to get that perfect shot. That means we’ve got to be mindful with our background, lighting, our pose, our smile, etc. But sometimes the resulting photo doesn’t end up the way you planned it in your head. A lot of things can go wrong in a photo: it could be a photobomber, an object in the background you didn’t notice and certainly don’t want in the photo. Maybe you want to remove the person you were with in the photo because the friendship/relationship ended but you looked so cute in the shot that it would be a waste to delete it.
“No problem.”
“There you go, partner.”
“Choose your fighter.”
“No doubt, bro.”
“There you go.”
“Sure.”
“Sure.”
Most of the time, however, people just edit their photos out of vanity. The standard for beauty has changed so drastically over the years that people are getting confused. Women are pressured to get that Kardashian-esque physique and men are also expected to look a certain way. People who want to live up to the hype tend to turn to photo editing apps like Photoshop. But it’s not exactly easy to get on Fridman’s level.
“You and the boys are outside.”
“There you go.”
“Sure.”
“Sure.”
But if you submit a photo be prepared to see it plastered everywhere
Fridman is arguably one of the most famous graphic designers in the world today. He’s got more than 1.39 million fans on Facebook, 1.9 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 followers on Twitter. So if you’re thinking of submitting a request to this Photoshop prankmaster, be very prepared. He won’t just edit and send back the photo to you. He’ll literally share it on his platforms for all his fans to laugh at.
“Do not submit any personal photos that you do not want to be made public.”
This disclaimer is plastered on all his social platforms, so consider yourself warned. You’ll have to read his terms & conditions thoroughly before sending that pic. Because one he decides to work his Photoshop magic on your submission, it’s his now, and you can’t do anything about it.
“Done.”
“Here you go, buddy.”
“Fixed.”
“No doubt.”
“Sure.”
“Sure.”
“He didn’t bear with you.”
James Fridman trolls people’s photos but he’s a man on a mission
When Fridman realized that he was getting too many editing requests asking to change the way someone looks to conform to the modern standards, he realized that it was an issue that needed to be addressed. So he started the James Fridman Foundation. In a nutshell, the foundation aims to help today’s youth from the toxic effects of modern society issues. And you are more than welcome to help him in his cause through sharing your story or a skill. It’s a totally awesome advocacy to have! Learn more about it here.
“Our differences and imperfections make us human.”
You’re definitely going to get more than what you asked for
“Done.”
“Wrong fountain.”
“Here you go.”
“There you go.”
“No problem.”
