Curious and innocent, kids often ask and say some of the craziest things. And let’s admit it, some of the funny things kids say really amuse us. Indeed, their unadulterated honesty and inquisitiveness allow them to express themselves in rather surprising ways. Their intrinsic craving for learning and curiosity always seems to get them questioning the ways of the world. Furthermore, they usually say the funniest things because they see things from a different perspective.
We’ve picked out the best and most hilarious quotes from the book. So, sit back, relax, and let these wholesome (and sometimes wacky) thoughts bring out the kid in you.
Some of the silly things kids say may sound nonsensical at first. But after giving it some thought, we realized that their honest opinions are outright brilliant. And we can’t help but agree with some of them. Their thoughts may sound crazy and hilarious but we’ve got to admit that they’re making more sense than us adults sometimes. If you want to hear something amusing to make your day, we recommend that you chat with a kid.
Moreover, kids tend to pour their hearts out when their parents are not around. This fact is further confirmed by NYC school teacher Alyssa Cowit. Dealing with enthusiastic kindergartners on a daily basis, Alyssa has heard innumerable comments and questions from curious kids. In fact, she was so fascinated by them that she even created an Instagram account to share some of the funny things kids say when their parents aren’t around.
The Instagram page Live from Snack Time, started in 2015 and currently has 130k followers. It features a compilation of all the funny things kids say based from actual conversations. The page also invites its followers to submit their own kids’ quotes too. Due to the overwhelming number of submitted posts, Alyssa and Greg Dunbar (digital marketing manager at the Walt Disney Studios) decided to create a book featuring the funniest and craziest kids’ quotes.
The book is titled ‘I Did My Homework in My Head: (And Other Wacky Things Kids Say)‘, and it’s exactly as described. You can buy the book here in hardcover or get it on Kindle if you want to read the entire quote collection.
