At some point in their life, most people will suffer from some form of anxiety or depression. It can be especially tough when you feel stuck in your own head and nobody else seems to understand. Although we'd never suggest that you should just laugh it off and get on with your life, artist and illustrator Gemma Correll has found that humor has helped her to deal with her feeling of anxiety and depression. These eleven illustrations from Correll explain how it feels to suffer from these kinds of issues, but in a humorous manner. Talking about this work, she writes…
"I honestly think that humor can be a savior at times of distress or, if you just live with a constant level of anxiety and depression like I do. I do think that people should speak more freely about anxiety. I know that I would have felt a little better as an anxiety-ridden teenager if I knew that I wasn't completely alone in my fears."
