We’re still a few months away from officially bidding 2020 goodbye. However, as most of you probably already know, January marks the start of the Girl Scouts cookie season. And as if that still wasn’t enough to get us excited for 2021, they’re also releasing a new flavor that tastes exactly like French toast. Now, you won’t have to go through the hassle of preparing this classic breakfast treat from scratch!
Officially marketed as “Toast-Yay!”, the new cookies feature a French toast-inspired flavor. So, we’re kind of hoping to taste the sweetness of maple syrup and the creaminess of butter with every bite. But that’s not all—they even look like mini slices of bread, so they certainly live up to their name! One side is dipped in delicious icing, while the other side features the iconic trefoil logo on top.

Toast-Yay! will be available for purchase starting January through the organization’s online retail platforms. In addition, the organization will set up several innovative “virtual cookie booths” on social media with parental supervision. In a press release, the organization also stated that “many girls will offer socially distant or contactless sales and delivery options.” Similarly, in-person sales may also be available in select areas depending on local guidelines.

Although the cookie season officially starts in January, product release date and availability may vary per location. As such, the organization recommends getting in touch with your local council for specific details on release date and availability.

Toast-Yay! will join a bunch of other GS cookie favorites, including Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs and Peanut Butter Sandwich. It’s definitely going to be a challenge having to pick only one among these delightful flavors. So, save yourself the trouble and just snag a box per flavor! That way, you’ll have more than enough to munch on as you wait for the next cookie season.
