It's great to see families team up and work together, which is why this story is so sweet and inspiring. When three-year-old Mary outgrew her old cot bed, her father decided to build her a new one, but the little girl was more than able to lend a hand, as well. Not only did father and daughter get to work together, Mary was allowed to choose the color and design of the bed, and let's just say the girl has good taste. Take a look at how the bed was made and see how it turned out.
The first step was to construct the frame. Mary got to help out.
They decided to use the springs from the old cot bed. It's important to check they're nice and secure, but they then came out again until all the paint work was done.
Once the frame was complete, it needed a coat of primer before painting.
With the primer done, the paint was applied. Can you guess what theme Mary chose yet?
That's right, a Superman bed!
The M is for Mary, of course!
What an amazing paint job. You wouldn't find a personalized bed like that in a store.
All done!
After a hard day's work, it's time for Mary to drift off and dream of kicking butt, superhero style!
What a cute kid, and what an awesome bed!
