Contemporary artists tend to mock the flawed world we live in, and Gunduz Agayev is one such artist. Yet, his works are entirely different as he showcases a sense of actuality. He joined the “Art for Democracy” project as a protest against injustice in his country, Azerbaijan in which he got sacked and was pressured by the government, forcing him to leave his motherland in 2014.
Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from creating illustrations that depict realism.
