If you've ever thought that a rape victim shouldn't have worn such a revealing outfit or shouldn't have drunk so much, or if you've ever thought that gay people shouldn't kiss or hold hands in public if they want to avoid getting abuse, then you've engaged in victim shaming and, frankly, that's not cool. Polish art student Katarzyna Babis has used illustrations to highlight different forms of victim blaming and prejudiced language in order to educate people and make them think twice about what they say. For instance, when someone calls a person a girl as an insult, they're insinuating that being female is somehow less than being male. Even if this isn't really what they intended, it's damaging to equal rights and society as a whole. Babis wants to call people out on this and try to make a difference! Let's take a look at some of her work!
