HIV is an illness that attacks the immune system and is often transmitted through intercourse, sharing needles, childbirth and breastfeeding. There have been many cases of kids born with HIV, and although the efforts to raise HIV awareness are slowly changing people’s perspective, there are still many who look down on and make life hard for kids born with HIV. Here are sad but true confessions from those living with this illness. Life isn’t easy on them. There’s no need to treat them differently or unkindly. Kids born with HIV are innocent, after all.
It’s sad how most people don’t think of the consequences of their actions.
Awful.
When every day is a struggle…
That’s right. You need all the support you can get.
We all have skeletons in the closet.
Forgiving isn’t always easy.
We all deserve to love and be loved.
Kids don’t deserve to go through this kind of struggle.
Heart breaking.
Do you research, people.
It’s so important to remember that kids born with HIV are not to blame…
Society will always judge you.
Please don’t lose hope.
No one deserves to be alone.
Be kind for you never know what someone is going through.
It’s totally unfair.
Nothing wrong with being brave.
Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on.
Hang in there.
We all take our loved ones for granted.
