Tian Haisu, a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, paints amazing traditional Chinese-style black and white landscapes on an epic scale. It's not just the size of these paintings that's unusual, however, the way she paints them is also strange. Let's just say that there's not a calligraphy brush in slight! Haisu has combined her talent for painting with her love of ice skating and skates over her canvas wearing specially adapted roller blades. This might sound a bit strange, but she's clearly onto something, because her paintings are just beautiful! Let's take a look at how it's done!

Haisu calls the technique "landskating." Check out this video to watch her in action.
