If you had known the self-taught Photoshop artist Luisa Azevedo, you would have encountered her jaw-dropping surrealism photography. Apparently, there’s no stopping for the self-taught artist. Now, she has launched a new set of fantastic compositions—blending various items and elements into scenes that truly strike you.
What’s the theme of Luisa Azevedo’s digital collages? Well, they’re actually a harmonious mix of real photos of landscapes, animals, and whimsical objects. That said, you would see clusters of crystals as well as orange peels into the mix. As if using a wand, Luisa Azevedo combines these elements into magical worlds. They include scenes where elephants would sprout flowers, antlers would hold oceans, and feathers are actually lush forests.
At other times, Luisa would also immerse herself in illusion art. She will then create images that trick your eye into seeing something different and a little confusing. Without a doubt, Luisa Azevedo found her inspiration from René Magritte, who was one of her favorite creatives.
Here, Luisa notes how she has been inspired by the Surrealist’s statement that goes on this way:
“Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist.”
Indeed, Luisa Azevedo continues to reconstruct and deconstruct her pieces of reality, and she shares the resulting surrealism photography on Instagram. Moreover, she’s now selling prints of her striking artworks on Etsy.
With surrealism photography as her specialty, Luisa Azevedo creates photos with blended elements that come together as beautiful and magical.
