Amsterdam-based photographer Sania Marusic has taken a series of images which show people almost disappearing into the land. The images are both beautiful and unsettling. There is a feeling of unease that these people seem to being taken over by the desolate places in which they stand. Marusic says of her work,
"I tried to capture and create this sacred moment between presence and absence, life and death, when everything seems to be transparent. To me it’s about reflections of the past and future and the unavertable descent into limbo."
