Artist Ignacio Canales Aracil collects flowers from famous European gardens and uses them to create incredibly beautiful sculptures. Dried flowers have been used in art since ancient Egyptian times and the fragility and beauty of this art form has endured throughout the centuries.
Aracil weaves patches of flower stems into huge cone shaped molds and leaves them to dry for up to a month. This method ensures that the fragile sculptures can stand without any support at all even though they are incredibly delicate.
