Weighing just 1lb and standing at six inches high, this adorable pudu deer was born at Queens Zoo in NYC on May 12th. Pudu is the world's smallest deer species and counting the new arrival, Queens now has three of them on display for visitors to enjoy. Pudu are a sub species of the South American deer, and are generally solitary animals. Interestingly, and quite hilariously, they bark when they're frightened and shiver when they're angry. The species is so teeny, that even the horned owl can count them among its prey. It's also rumored that sadly the Pudu can die if it becomes too scared. Check out this adorable looking animal below!
