One emerging trend these days is glamorous camping aka glamping. You know, camping in style and in comfort and being outdoors without essentially being out there. And with it, comes numerous campervans and motorhomes with sleek interior designs and smart facilities for the modern-day camper. But by far, we haven’t seen anything as awesome as the Romotow, and here’s why.
For starters, this camping trailer features a rotatable body made of advanced composite materials. It comes in a chic pearl white finish and sits on a lightweight carbon fiber chassis. With just a push of a button, the inner section of the trailer swivels around and forms an L-shaped profile.

This then reveals a 290-square-foot area complete with a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, and lounge. With additional sleeping quarters, the trailer can accommodate up to four adults comfortably. The interior also boasts a synthetic teak lining, a panoramic window display, as well as an integrated surround sound system.
Meanwhile, the outer section offers additional floor area and serves as an elevated patio perfect for lounging and dining. In addition, it’s even possible to host barbecue parties, thanks to its solar-powered fold-down electric grill. When closed, the entire trailer measures approximately 30 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. Its weight may range from 3,500 to 4,000 kilograms, depending on material specifications.
The first fully functional model is currently in the works by New Zealand-based architectural and interior design firm W2. As of writing, it’s on its final assembly stage and is set for wiring and hydraulic system installation. You may check out their Facebook page for progress updates on the futuristic caravan.
The company is accepting limited orders of the trailer with a starting price of $500,000. Each unit is custom-made, so the final price may vary depending on the materials and other technical specifications.
