Just like dogs, cats also shed and this is just normal. Shedding is a natural process in a cat’s life and there’s actually no way to stop this. Felines usually start shedding in the spring as they lose their heavy winter undercoat to keep them cool in summer. Shedding should cease in the fall as they grow a new coat to keep them warm for the winter season. However, there are some certain breeds of cats that shed all year round. These breeds include Siberian cats, Russian Blue cats, American Bobtail cats, Maine Coon cats, and other long-furred feline breeds. Most cat owners would simply throw away the falling fur. But a Japanese photographer decided to make fashionable cat hair hats out of the cats’ fur.
Ryo Yamazaki owns three adorable Scottish Fold cats named Nya, Maru and Mugi. He came with an idea so avant garde and modish that would drive all cat lovers into a frenzy. Out of the cats’ shedding fur, Yamazaki crafts odd-looking yet stylish cat hats in a variety of shapes and sizes. From simple flat beret hats to more fanciful conical crowns that closely resemble witch hats, these cat hair hats definitely made these kitties even cuter. Of course, the artistic photographer wouldn’t let this cuteness go to waste without sharing it to the whole world. On his Instagram page, you can find all the photos of his delightful cats wearing different fantastic hats.
Cats naturally hate it when you dress them up or put something on their heads. But in this case, these cat hair hats are basically derived from their own hair. So, these items are actually not foreign to them as these were previously parts of them. As you can see from the photos, the cats really didn’t mind wearing the hats. We’re not sure if they’re happy with it or not but we’re quite sure they don’t hate it.
